Engineered to facilitate installing an 8 Speed HP70 transmission into your 2nd Generation Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with a smallblock 318/360 engine.

The Bolt-in Transmission Cross-member Kit includes the HP70 transmission bracket, rubber isolator mount (Anchor 2378), Factory crossmember adapter bracket and all mounting hardware.

Short version of installation instructions

Bolt the HP70 transmission adapter plate to your transmission, bolt on the transmission rubber isolator mount.
Mock-up your drive-train in the car, set the height of the transmission (for drive-line angle - OEM was approximately 2 degrees downward towards the rear).
Install the factory transmission crossmember in the truck.
Install the crossmember adapter bracket below the rubber isolator mount and bolt to the factory crosmember. We include an Anchor 2378 rubber isolator for mockup - we recommend replacing and using a high quality isolator mount for high torque usage. The Anchor 2378 is a GM style transmission mount used from 1957-1984.
Confirm angles, center line and correct position of the drive-train. Install washers as shims to adjust the drivetrain angle to your desired angle.
Check U-joint working angles and drivetrain angles.
