Mopar 1965-72 Dodge, Plymouth A body, Disc Conversion kit for 10 inch drum

The SB1025 kit from Scarebird fits A-Body Mopar's from 1965-1972 originally equipped with 10" drum brakes. ( We also have a kit for the cars that came with 9" Brakes; VAL SB1026 )

Change out your inadequate front drums for affordable discs with our US-made CNC laser-cut brackets. These cold-rolled steel adapters bolt straight on to your drum spindles using your original hardware - no machining to the spindles is needed, you do not need to remove the spindle nor the lower ball joint to do this. No changing of spindles or realignment is needed.

You will need to redrill a Toyota Previa rotor hat for the Mopar 5 on 4 inch circle bolt pattern using the supplied paper pattern, or your favorite machinist can do this task easily. Along with the brackets, a pair of register adapters are provided to keep your rotors centered. Longer studs are advised, as the rotor hat is almost 1/4" thick where mounted to the hub. This conversion will fit the 14 x 5" stock Rally's, but not the 14" poverty rims unless some minor grinding is done to the 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood calipers (note: we have seen some brands of caliper will indeed clear the stock rims without grinding). This will clear some OEM 14" rims and the stock 15" rims easily.

The DRT Kit are sold as a pair, and include the CNC Laser cut Zinc plated brackets, CNC cut Register Adapters, Metric Banjo Bolts, Cotter Pins, replacement hardware and install guide. You purchase rotors and calipers, then reuse your factory hubs, wheel bearings, brake hoses, wheel seal and dust cap. A proportioning valve is highly recommended to be installed in the rear brake line.
